Aliece M. Dutson | Assistant Principal, Mission Grammar School
Aliece M. Dutson is the Assistant Principal and School-Wide Literacy Coordinator at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Mission Grammar School in Roxbury, Massachusetts. Mrs. Dutson received her B.A. in Elementary Education from Emmanuel College and her M.A. in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education with a focus on Innovation, Technology, and Education.
Mission Grammar School is the proud recipient of an innovation grant, Mission Grammar 2.0. Mrs. Dutson worked as an integral part of the Mission Grammar 2.0 planning team and is now a key member of the implementation team, including deployment of 1:1 iPads in the classroom. Mrs. Dutson has been published in the education magazine Learning and Leading with Technology for her work on partnering fieldtrips with podcasting. Mrs. Dutson is also a certified Literacy Collaborative Coach, leading coaching, action research and data collection around literacy to inform instruction at the school level. She has presented twice at the National Literacy for All Conference on the Impact of the Literacy Team from Implementation to Report Cards. Mrs. Dutson has engaged in in-depth professional development around the social and emotional development and learning of children. She works daily to support the social and emotional needs and academic success of all learners at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Mission Grammar School.
