Boston College is pleased to offer merit-based scholarships to select candidates for the Part-Time MBA Program.
Merit-based scholarships are awarded at the time of admission to high-achieving, high-potential candidates who possess strong application credentials and a demonstrated track record of success both academically and professionally. Further consideration is given to candidates who bring diversity of background, culture, and experience.
All admitted candidates will be considered for a scholarship award. Scholarships are given as one-time awards to be applied towards tuition expenses. Awards will be applied in equal installments to the first and second semesters of study.
You may be eligible to waive the GMAT/GRE requirement if you meet one or more of the following criteria:
Hold a bachelor's degree and earned grades of “B” or better in two or more quantitative undergraduate and/or graduate business courses (mathematics, statistics, economics, finance or accounting)
At least 3-5 years of progressive professional experience and demonstrated applied quantitative or analytic skills through professional job responsibilities
Earned professional certifications with a quantitative focus (CFA, CPA, CFP, FIRNA, Six Sigma)
Are an undergraduate alumnus/alumna of the Boston College Carroll School of Management, or are an undergraduate alumnus/alumna of Boston College who earned a grade of “B” or better in two or more quantitative courses (mathematics, statistics, economics, finance or accounting)
You must request your waiver PRIOR TO submitting your application. GMAT/GRE waiver requests and eligibility requirements are subject to review and approval by the Admissions Committee. We will consider waiver requests for the Part-Time MBA and Part-Time MSF programs only.
The BC MBA allows you to earn your MBA on your time, completing up to 30% of our degree online. Starting Fall 2017, we will offer the following online and hybrid courses to Part-Time MBA students:
Information Technology for Management
Managing Business for Society
Real Estate Finance
Online courses can be taken during any semester they are offered, at any point in the completion of your degree. Hybrid courses feature both online course content and up to 5 on-campus class meetings during evenings or Saturdays.
Part-Time MBA applicants who have demonstrated mastery in a core subject area may receive advanced standing credit, reducing the total number of courses required to earn your degree. All applicants will be evaluated for advanced standing credit. Eligible students may qualify to waive up to five MBA courses, a maximum of 15 credits and tuition savings of up to $24,180 (based on 2016-17 tuition rates).
