Dear Member of the Class of 2013:

On Monday, May 20, 2013, it will be my honor to present you with your diploma at the Carroll School Graduate Programs Commencement ceremony.  I know this will be a special day for you and your families as you look back on all your hard work and accomplishments as well as forward to new opportunities and challenges.  Our speaker at the Graduate Programs ceremony will be Wycliffe “Wyc” Grousbeck.  Mr. Grousbeck is Managing Partner, Governor and CEO of the Boston Celtics.  Michael J. Millette, MSF ’94, Managing Director and Head of Structured Finance for Goldman, Sachs & Co., will be this year’s recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award.

Please reference the “Graduate Student Commencement Guide” for details about Commencement day.  Further information is available at www.bc.edu/graduation.  Also, please complete the Commencement Reply Form by May 1 so that we will know whether you plan to participate in the ceremony.

The University will not print hard copy invitations; however, electronic invitations are available for students to send to family and friends.  There is no limit to the number of electronic invitations you can send.  An electronic e-invitation will be emailed to graduates very shortly and you can also access it on the University’s Commencement web site.

Invitations are not required for admission to either the main University ceremony or the CGSOM diploma ceremony.

In addition, please mark your calendars for a couple of other special events.  On Thursday, May 16, the Graduate Management Association will host a ceremony during which all graduates will be invited to take an Oath of Ethical Conduct.  Additional details on this ceremony will be sent out shortly.

On Sunday, May 19, I look forward to celebrating with you and your family at a pre-graduation reception to be held at the Boston College Club, 3:00 – 5:00pm.

I have enjoyed working with you as graduate students and I look forward to your continued association with the Carroll School as alumni.  On behalf of the entire Carroll School faculty and staff, I want to offer sincere and well-deserved congratulations to each of you.

Best of luck with your remaining course work and I look forward to seeing you on May 19 and May 20.

Best wishes,

Jeffrey L. Ringuest
Associate Dean for Graduate Program
