Application Deadlines
and Requirements

For priority consideration, submit your application by the earliest date possible. Applications submitted by a given deadline are guaranteed to receive a response by the corresponding notification date. Applications submitted after the last deadline are reviewed on a space-available basis, in the order in which they are received.


Full-Time MBA Deadline Notify By
 Round 1  November 1  January 15
 Round 2  January 15  March 15
 Round 3  March 15  May 1
 Round 4  April 15  June 1


Applicants to the dual MBA programs must apply for the Round 2, January 15, 2016 deadline. Decision notification will be rendered by March 15, 2016


Part-Time MBA Deadline Notify By

 September Round 2  May 1  June 15


Applications for January 2016 are still being accepted on a rolling basis.


MSA Deadline Notify By
 MSA Summer  December 1  February 15
 MSA Fall  February 1  April 1


To apply to the MSA Fall program you must be an undergraduate Accounting major. All other applicants must apply for enrollment in the MSA Summer program.


Full-Time MSF Deadline Notify By
 September  February 15  April 15


Part-Time MSF Deadline Notify By
 January  October 15  December 1
 September Round 1  April 1  May 15
 Septermber Round 2  May 1  June 15

PhD Deadline Notify By
 Organization Studies  December 1  Spring
 Finance  January 5  Spring


There is no specific notification date for PhD admission decisions. Typically, notification is made by March or April.


Boston College welcomes applications from graduates of accredited colleges and universities. The first step in the admission process is to check our deadlines. Next, submit the online application for admission, together with the following materials:

  1. Your current resume, including education and employment history
  2. Transcripts from every college or university in which you were enrolled in a degree-granting program
  3. GMAT or GRE scores from within the past five years; GMAT school code: 44x-J5-96, GRE school code: 3033
  4. TOEFL, IELTS or PTE scores (if applicable) from within the past two years: TOEFL school code is 3033
  5. A separate Employment History, using the form provided within the online application
  6. Recommendation from an individual who can provide an objective appraisal of your capacity for intensive graduate study and your potential for professional success
  7. Personal essay, 500 words, 12 point font, double-spaced
  8. Nonrefundable application fee of $100 USD

Interviews are available by invitation only for full-time candidates, but we invite you to visit campus at any point in the admission process.
