William Stevenson, PhD

?William Stevenson holds a BS in economics from the University of Maryland and MA and PhD degrees in sociology from the University of California, Riverside. He taught at the University of California, Irvine prior to coming to the Boston College School of Management in 1988. Before his academic career, Dr. Stevenson was a management analyst for the Immigration and Naturalization Service in Washington, D.C. and a researcher at the Bureau of Social Science Research in Washington, D.C.
His research interests include the relationship of organizational design, communication networks, and political coalitions to organizational effectiveness and organizational change. He is currently conducting research on the dynamics of decision making on boards of directors.
