Vin O'Reilly joined the faculty in 1997. He coordinates the Boston College MBA Consulting Project and the related Diane Weiss competition and teaches a number of Accounting and Operations Management courses. The MBA Consulting Project is a five - credit course where teams of MBAs conduct a consulting assignment for a company and propose an implementable solution to the client.
Prior to joining the faculty, Vin was a partner at Coopers & Lybrand and served as the Firm's Chief Operating Officer and Chairman of its International Accounting and Auditing Policy and Strategy Committee. He also chaired its Ethical Practices Committee and served on its Board of Directors for 12 years.
He was also a member of the Executive Committee of the SEC Practice Section of the AICPA, a member of the Financial Accounting Standards Board Advisory Council, and a founding member of the Accounting Education Change Commission. He is the editor of Montgomery's Auditing and author of Internal Control - Integrated Framework.
