David Murphy, DBA

Associate Professor - Operations, Information & Strategic Management Department

David Murphy (DBA Indiana University) has been on the faculty at Boston College since 1970 and has taught in many management and executive development programs. He has served as editor of Project Management Quarterly and in varying capacities for the Academy of Management, the Decision Sciences Institute, and the Project Management Institute; has been engaged as director and co-principal investigator of several research efforts funded by N.A.S.A. and by Goddard Space Flight Center; and as co-principal investigator of studies funded by the National Science Foundation and by the New England Regional Commission.

His research interests are quite varied and have included areas of organizational decentralization, industrial organization, project and program management, applied statistics, and strategy and policy formulation.

His teaching interests are in economics and statistics.
