Louis Corsini, PhD
Associate Professor - Accounting Department
Dr. Corsini is a faculty member in the Carroll School of Management. He is a former dean of the Graduate School of Management, Chairperson of the Accounting Department and presently teaches at both the graduate and graduate levels.
Professor Corsini joined the Boston College faculty in 1971. He received his BS and MBA degrees from Boston College and his PhD in Accounting from Louisiana State University. Prior to full-time teaching, Dr. Corsini worked in public accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Professor Corsini's research interests lie in the problems of financial reporting and disclosure, and business valuation. He has published numerous articles in the accounting journals and presented papers at various accounting conferences. For several years he was editor of the Massachusetts CPA Review. In 1989, Dr. Corsini was named the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, "Educator of the Year." Professor Corsini has consulted on business valuations for a variety of clients and has served on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs.
