Frank B. Campanella, DBA
Professor - Finance Department
Prior to returning to the Carroll School faculty, Dr. Campanella served as Executive Vice President of Boston College from 1973 to 2001. In that position he was responsible for the internal management of the University, as well as for long range operational and fiscal planning, capital planning, major construction projects, and information technology. He joined Boston College in 1970 as an Assistant Professor in the School of Management.
Dr. Campanella holds a doctorate from Harvard Business School, and a BS from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Both Boston College and Le Moyne College have awarded him honorary doctorate degrees. In 1987 he received the national award from CAUSE in recognition of excellence and leadership in the area of information technology in higher education. He has worked in engineering and finance in the construction industry, and served three years active duty as a lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps.
In the field of community service, Dr. Campanella now serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dean College, and as a BC High Trustee. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Le Moyne College, and as a member of the Board of Trustees of St. Elizabeth's Hospital. He has also served on the Advisory Board for the business school at the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland.
