Professor Katherine (Kay) N. Lemon

Welcome to the Boston College Carroll School of Management’s Marketing Department.

The Marketing Department has an excellent and dedicated faculty committed to equipping students with critical marketing tools to enable them to understand and succeed in the ever-changing and challenging global business environment. In our courses, students engage in a skills-based curriculum that incorporates real-world applications and case studies, team projects, data analytics and opportunities for in-depth interactions with successful marketing professionals in global companies.

Our faculty’s award winning research investigates key issues in marketing and appears in leading journals such as: Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Marketing Science, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Service Research, Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, and NeuroImage.

Faculty research areas include new marketing technologies, digital marketing, big data analytics, consumer self-control, visual perception and sensory marketing, luxury marketing, consumer financial decision making, joint decision-making, retailing strategy, pricing strategy, customer management, and transformative consumer research.

In addition to a high caliber marketing business education, our undergraduates benefit from the strong interdisciplinary nature of the Boston College experience. At the graduate level, MBA students focusing on Marketing have the opportunity to specialize and develop deep skill sets in areas such as: Marketing Analytics, Product and Brand Management, and Competitive Service Delivery.

The academic training they receive and the business acumen they develop enable our graduates to secure positions in marketing and advertising at top national and global firms.
