8:30 am
Scan my emails taking special note of which requests need immediate responses.  I make a list of the day’s priorities by thinking of what needs to be done for each of the Kraft brands I work on (9 brands altogether).

9:00 am
Meet with my Account Director and Account Planner to finalize the Creative Development Strategy for a TV commercial supporting a new Kraft Grated Parmesan Cheese product.  Following the discussion, I return to my desk making the appropriate changes before sending a copy to the client for our 10:00 am conference call.

10:00 am
Via conference call, members of the Account Management team, our Account Planner, the client Brand Team and the client Advertising Director together discuss the changes that were made to the Creative Development Strategy for Grated Parmesan.  After some discussion, the brand team approves the CDS over the phone.

11:00 am
Prepare a Contact Report that documents the outcome of the Grated Parmesan CDS meeting.  Run the Contact Report by my Account Director to ensure all points from the meeting were captured.  Issue the Contact Report to all parties who were on the conference call.  Set up meeting three days from now to brief internal Creative Team on Grated Parmesan TV commercial assignment.

12:00 pm
Grab a quick lunch before returning to my desk to catch up on email.

12:30 pm
Answer a phone call from my Traffic department.  The proof for the Kraft 2% Shredded Cheese print ad is in from the pre-press house.  She asks if she can bring the proof up to my office so I can look it over and sign off on behalf of the account management team.  I put the proof aside to take with me to show the client in person when I drive out there later this afternoon.  Hopefully the client can meet at 4:00 pm…I give them a call to make sure they are available at that time.

1:00 pm
Receive an email alert from my agency’s competitive tracking system that a competitor of Breakstone’s Sour Cream has launched a new print ad.  Immediately, I download and send a copy of the ad to my client with a note saying that a more detailed competitive analysis will be issued the following week.

1:30 pm
We’re shooting a new print ad in two days for Kraft 2% Singles.  Tomorrow the Account Management team, our Art Director, and the 2% Singles clients will have a Pre-Production meeting with the photographer to review the details of the photo shoot.  This afternoon, I received feedback from my Art Director on the Pre-Production booklet I had put together yesterday.  I finalize the booklet and send it off to everyone who will be attending tomorrow’s meeting.

2:00 pm
Leave agency to rent a car.  I am making the short drive to the client’s office for our monthly team meeting to discuss year-to-date business results for Kraft Natural Cheese.  In the car, I return phone calls from early afternoon…Promotions agency needs updated package shots for Breakstone’s Cottage Cheese sent to them…Traffic needs to know if the Velveeta print estimate was signed by the client…Client wanted to confirm that photography studio received the case of product needed for the Kraft 2% Singles print photo shoot taking place in two days.

3:00 pm
Participate in team meeting by listening to business results and taking notes.  I want to be sure that I have a good understanding whether business is up or down and why so that I can provide the rest of my team a brief update when I return to the office tomorrow.  During the meeting, I answer any questions pertaining to the advertising activity that is happening with my brands.

4:00 pm
Stop by my client’s office to show him the Kraft 2% Shredded Cheese print proof that I have brought with me.  I point out all of the changes that have been made throughout the creative process and offer to leave the proof with him overnight so he can show the rest of the brand team.

4:30 pm
Before leaving the Kraft offices, I check my voicemail and spend the next period of time returning messages before heading home.

5:30 pm
Working from home for the next hour or so will save me time tomorrow morning.  I get to work checking & responding to emails so that the advertising process can keep on moving!
