Cathy Tang 2003
GE IT Corporate Audit Staff

"At any given moment, you can always catch me with 4 silver bullets in my bag... a laptop, cell phone, digital camera, and iPod. For me, technology is a way to keep connected when traveling, and it helps me be more efficient and more creative. What started as an interest in gadgets, quickly became a more serious interest at BC. My favorite classes were ones like eCommerce where we learned about “everyday” technologies such as digital rights management and tri-band GSM; it’s amazing to stop and think about the impact technology has had on our world.

Every day at work I leverage skills I learned at BC. As part of the IT Corporate Audit Staff, my job is to identify IT risks that could impact our company’s financials. By concentrating in information systems as well as finance and operations at BC, I learned how to translate technology into business terms… and in a world bridged by global technology systems, the Information Systems department at BC set me up with the skills I need to be a great business leader.
