BC M.B.A. Ranked Among Nation’s Best
I am very pleased to share with you the results of Bloomberg Businessweek’s survey of the “Best Business Schools.” Of the nation’s 470 full-time M.B.A. programs, 87 programs met the criteria to be included in this ranking. Our full-time M.B.A. is now ranked #48, up four spots since 2014. This ranking was 3rd highest in Boston, behind Harvard and MIT.
The survey is based largely on measures of student and alumni satisfaction, career outcomes, and employer recognition. Thank you for your participation in these surveys, which allows you to contribute to the success of our program. I hope you are proud to be a member of this community.
The BC M.B.A. is a program on the move and I believe the best is yet to come. Our curriculum is becoming increasingly more market-driven with a greater focus on data analytics, which has been well received by employers. We have emphasized business communication skills and increased integrated learning in our coursework through management simulations, field studies, and experiential learning. These and other changes allow students to put theory into practice before graduation. They are also reflected in a recent increase of median starting compensation to $110,000—up from $103,000 the year prior.
At the Carroll School, rankings are signposts and not directives. The recognition of our full-time M.B.A. as one of the nation’s best will continue to inspire the members of the Carroll School community to even greater success.
All my best,
