Jean Bartunek, Robert A. and Evelyn J. Ferris Chair and organization studies professor, received the Academy of Management’s Distinguished Service Award at the 2009 Annual Meeting in Chicago. She was given the career award for her foundational work when serving as president of the Academy and in other offices associated with the executive committee, and for her long and excellent service on the editorial boards of some of the management field’s premier journals.
