The Women's Studies Program has made a commitment to encourage feminist undergraduate and graduate scholarship. Described below are award opportunities for undergraduates.
The Janet James Award
Every spring, during commencement week, the Women's Studies Program grants an award to a Senior distinguished for scholarship in Women's Studies. This year the Janet James Award was given to Amanda Denes, Graduate of the Class of 2007, for her dedication to Women's Studies.
Academic Writing Awards
Additional smaller awards are given for the best writing related to women's issues and women's studies scholarship in the areas of humanities, social sciences, and sciences.
