Paul is happy to be back at Boston College to direct Urinetown. As Producing Artistic Director of SpeakEasy Stage Company in Boston, Paul has produced over fifty Boston premieres since founding the company in 1992. Directing credits for SpeakEasy include: Some Men, The Mystery of Edwin Drood; Zanna, Don’t!; Almost, Maine; Caroline, Or Change; Take Me Out (co-production Boston Theatre Works); Company; Elegies: A Song Cycle; A Man of No Importance (co-production Súgán); Bat Boy: The Musical (2003 Elliot Norton Award—Outstanding Director, Small Company); Passion; A New Brain; Violet; Merrily We Roll Along; A Class Act; Songs for a New World; Floyd Collins; Jeffrey; and Love! Valour! Compassion! Regional credits: Grand Hotel and Nine (Boston Conservatory and Cincinnati Conservatory of Music); City of Angels and Wonderful Town (Boston Conservatory) and Blue Window (Boston College). Paul is on the Faculty of The Boston Conservatory. In May 2007, Paul was honored with the Boston College Arts Council’s Alumni Award for Distinguished Achievement.
