Michael Allosso is a freelance director, choreographer, actor, writer, and teacher who lives in the Boston area. He has conceived, written, directed and performed in dozens of shows for corporate and private clients including his work for his own company, "Michael Allosso Personalized Entertainment," and has directed and choreographed numerous trade shows and videos. He has served as a private coach for businesspeople, politicians and actors and has conducted workshops in various business settings throughout New England and New York.

In addition to theatrical scripts and cabarets, Allosso has co-authored three books about theater, published by the U.S. Office of Education. He was the founding artistic director of the Chiswick Park Theatre in Sudbury, Massachusetts, and served as artistic director of both the National Dance Institute/N.E. and Boston University Theatre Institute. He has also served as artistic associate at New Rep in Newton, Massachusetts, and consulting artistic director at the Orpheum Theater in Foxboro, Massachusetts.

Allosso taught theater at Boston Conservatory, Regis College, B.U., and Salem State. He also taught acting for filmmakers at several venues and a theater program with inner city youths for the Huntington Theater. He has been the director of the "Young at Arts" program at Boston's Wang Center, has served on the executive council of the Massachusetts High School Drama Guild since 1981, and conducts numerous workshops throughout the state in theater and theater-related skills.

Allosso received his B.A. at Brandeis University and his M.F.A. at Boston University. He has won both the Moss Hart and the Esther B. and Albert S. Kahn Awards.
