The Boston College sociology department has two separate guides for its graduate students:
1) The Guide to Graduate Study, otherwise known as "The Blue Book," which lists all of our graduate program's formal rules and procedures.
2)
The Smart Guide to Getting Done, an informal collection of tips for getting through a Boston College Sociology MA or Ph.D. Degree.
New students will probably want to familiarize themselves with pages 2-9 in the Smart Guide and pages 3-11 of the Guide to Graduate Study before starting classes.
