How can I apply for PULSE Council?
Download an application for the 2009-2010 PULSE Council here. The application contains a description of the PULSE Council role, which you should read carefully.
**Please note that there will be a mandatory training retreat for all 2009-2010 PULSE Council members from Wednesday, September 2 to Friday, September 4, 2009. This commitment is incompatible with other Boston College campus leadership positions. Please check for conflicts with other activities before applying.**
If you are interested in applying, bring your information sheet to the PULSE office by 4:00 pm on Thursday, February 26th (before you leave for Spring Break). Interviews will be scheduled over Spring Break. You will be contacted via email about the date, time and location of your interview. Your PULSE professor and current PULSE Council member will be asked to complete reference forms on your behalf. Your application essay must be turned in by 4:00 pm on Tuesday, March 9.
If you are currently a sophomore and you are planning to spend one or two semesters studying abroad during your junior year, you can and should submit your application now. These applications, however, will not be considered this spring. Final consideration will be deferred until spring 2011 for membership on the PULSE Council of 2011-2012. You will be given one interview this spring and a second interview next year.
The entire PULSE Council and PULSE staff will carefully consider every applicant's file. Selections will be made Friday, April 9th and Saturday, April 10th. Results will be posted at the end of the day on Saturday, April 10th on the PULSE office door and the PULSE home page.
