Another Course to College

Nature and Purpose
Another Course to College (ACC) is a college preparatory Boston Public Pilot School serving 220 students in grades 9-12. We prepare students for success at the post-secondary level through a rigorous, writing intensive curriculum. Because of our high expectations and high level of individualized student support, we require students to be accepted to college in order to graduate from ACC. Another Course to College has been recognized by National Public Radio, U.S. News and World Report, and The Boston Globe as a "high flying pilot school." This is especially significant because we have no special admissions policy; students are assigned by Boston's district-wide lottery.

PULSE students function as tutors in a variety of settings, such as assisting a teacher during class, working one-on-one with students, or tutoring in the after-school program.
