PULSE Program

2001 Alumni

Kelly McCoy:
Hi everyone,
I decided to finally add to this Alumni database after PULSE came up in conversation a few times recently. I've actually lived in the Boston area since graduation, now living in Somerville. I worked for two years at Mass. General Hospital while deciding whether or not to attend medical school. Public Health won out and I am about to finish my masters at BU School of Public Health in a few months. Looking forward to starting a "career" in International Health. I'm still getting used to that word, "career". What draws me most to International Health is the issues of equity and poverty which can be found everywhere, not just "internationally".

I moved into a housing co-op about 2 years ago and live with 7 fabulous people, sharing meals and chores. If you're in the area, please always feel free to give a call and my place is always open if you need a place to stay while in town.

much love to you all,
kelly

Tim Wesley:
Hello everyone!

It is good to see that I am no longer the lone poster on this site. Thanks for joining, Kelly and Priscilla.

I just wanted to share the good news with you guys that Bridget and I got married on December 28, 2005. We got married in Playa del Carmen, MEX with a small party of our immediate families.

Drop me an email, I'd love to hear how folks are - tim.wesley@ignatius.org.

I work at St. Ignatius in Chicago now, and I teach with former council member Sean Byrne. I finished one MA and I hope to continue more school (another MA then Ph.D). My thoughts often come back to PULSE, particularly in my teaching.

Buen Camino,
Tim

Priscilla Huang:
Hi guys!

I've been thinking about a lot of "Pulsey" things lately and am hoping you are all doing well.

After graduation, I moved to San Jose and worked at an emergency women and children's homeless shelter as an AmeriCorps member. Afterwards, I spent another year in San Francisco as a case manager at a domestic violence shelter.

In the fall of 2003, I moved to D.C. to attend law school at American University and will graduate in May. As a law student, I've done a lot of work around women's rights and reproductive justice issues. I even taught a high school Constitutional Law class last year! This year, I'm representing women in family law cases through AU's Women and the Law Clinic. I'm hoping to find a job back in SF and am planning to take the CA Bar in August.

Much love,
Priscilla
