"So, since graduation I have been doing a lot of "PULSEY" stuff!
I spent the summer after graduation working at the Parent's Center as an assistant
teacher. Shortly thereafter, I got a job at Rosie's Place, helping to run the
dining room as a food program shift coordinator. Then I changed positions in
May of 2002 to work in the volunteer services department as the Assistant Director
of Volunteers--which means I get to work with PULSE students all the time, and
I get to talk to Dave and Michelle sometimes, too! Rosie's Place has been an
incredible work environment--filled with the most giving amazing people. I have
learned so much about the reality of hunger and homelessness in this country
over the last 2+ years...it's really been an incredibly and at times, heartbreaking
journey.
The big news for me is that I got married on December 28th, 2002! Angie Northam (now Anderton) was in my wedding and continues to be one of my best friends! Just think, we met through PULSE! So now I'm just enjoying married life, adjusting and looking for someplace to volunteer!! Any suggestions? I hope you're all well!
