in a campaign to organize the jp stevens company and other smaller facilities.
In between directed a national coalition called americans concerned about
corporate power, sponsors of big business day, 1980. Worked as assistant secretary
of labor in the dukakis administration for three years, followed by consulting
work for governor mario cuomo of ny, then governor jim blanchard of michigan.
I've been with the uaw since 1991. Currently married with a 15 yr old son
and a 12 year old daughter."
