Academic Interests: My research focuses on context-dependent renewal of appetitive conditioned responses. As the majority of appetitive renewal research has been done using drugs as reinforcers and instrumental responding, little is known about renewal of Pavlovian conditioned responding. In addition, very little research has been done investigating sex differences of appetitive learning. In my current project, I hope to establish behavioral sex differences in renewal, and to begin an investigation into the neural mechanisms of renewal. In the future I hope to use lesion work to determine behavioral changes.
