Scholarly Interests: Children's participation in organized sport: parent-child interactions, emotional development; Cognitive development: memory organization, children's understanding of the "rules of the game," automatic processing.

Academic Profile: Professor Moore joined the faculty in the fall of 1977. He currently studies the implications of participation by children of all ages in organized sport. Professor Moore teaches various courses in child development and also a freshman seminar on young adult development. He also directs the Psychology Department's undergraduate program.
