The Career Center has an extensive series of references concerning possible health related careers. The Career Center staff can help you find these resources. In terms of web resources, access the Center web site at careercenter.bc.edu, and under the pull down menu labeled “Career Fields”, selected “Health and Medicine.” This will bring you to a number of relevant links.
Many Boston College graduates have also pursued Chiropractic medicine, Optometry, and Podiatry. Physician Assistant Programs and Physical Therapy have become increasingly popular the last few years and students with a strong background/interest in chemistry have pursued Pharmacy degrees. Ken Iserson's book Get Into Medical School (on reserve in O'Neill Library) has an entire chapter entitled "Alternatives to Medical School" which discusses a variety of fascinating medically related careers. See the section of this website entitled "Pre-Health Web Resources" for more information.
