Assistant Professor in Comparative Politics: African Politics

The Department of Political Science at Boston College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position beginning September 2016 in Comparative Politics: African Politics (including North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa). The position is open in regard to research focus and methods, but with preference for substantive fieldwork. Teaching experience is also desirable. Candidates should have their Ph.D. in hand by the start date. Rank will be Assistant Professor.

Assistant Professor in Political Theory: Political Philosophy

The Department of Political Science at Boston College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position, beginning September 2016, in political philosophy. We are seeking candidates with a broad training in the history of political philosophy, with the concentration open. Applicants should have completed the Ph.D. or be demonstrably close to finishing at the time of application. Rank will be Assistant Professor or Instructor, depending upon degree status.
