New Class  A Cross Cultural Course within the Major/Minor:  Check out MU 307 Musics of Asia.


Faculty Position  The Music Department of Boston College seeks a Director of Chamber Music and Teacher of Music Theory in a full-time, non-tenure position at the rank of Adjunct Assistant Professor level to begin in the fall of 2010.

 

Music Department Artists in Residence featured in The Boston College Chronicle   Rosanne Pellegrini interviewed Hawthorne String Quartet's Mark Ludwig in a story featured on November 5, 2009 in The Boston College Chronicle.  The Hawthorne String Quartet will be performing at Boston College on Saturday, November 18 at 8:00 pm in Gasson Hall.

Thomas Lee:  Thomas Lee's Emerald Necklace ... The Story of Frederick Law Olmsted for narrator and chamber orchestra Charles Ansbacher, conductor, and the Boston Landmarks Orchestra was featured in The Boston Herald on August 30, 2009.    and reviewed in the The Boston Globe on September 5, 2009 

 

Ralf Yusuf Gawlick has been awarded a prestigious Artist Fellowship in Music Composition from the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC).
