A native of Ohio, Jane Harrison earned a Bachelor of Music degree at Ohio Wesleyan University. She attended the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied with John Mack, and later received her Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music, where she studied with Elaine Douvas. She has performed with Emmanuel Music for many years, and she is a member of Arcadian Winds, a wind quintet specializing in contemporary music. An active free-lancer, she has appeared with the Boston Lyric Opera, The Cantata Singers, Opera Boston, ProArte Chamber Orchestra, Portland Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra and the New Hampshire Music Festival as English horn soloist. She has participated in several commercial recordings and radio broadcasts. In addition to Boston College, Ms. Harrison is on the faculty of Wellesley College, the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras, and the All-Newton Music School.
