Applicants with an interest in the major or minor in Music may submit a CD to the Music Department with one or more pieces as evidence of their skills and achievements. Such a submission is optional and is not required for entry into Boston College. There are no set guidelines as to what to include on the CD, but we suggest you display what you do well and with some degree of variety. The applicant should submit only the CD to the department, further documentation is not necessary. The Music Department can only promise to review submissions of prospective majors and minors if the CDs are so labelled. Please be aware that only a very limited number of individuals are recommended to Admissions. No live auditions are held and the submitted CDs will not be returned. December 1 is the deadline for submitting supporting material for the next year.
