Jessica Ulcickas ’10

"It is really easy to get to know the math professors–and have them know who you are."

Hometown: Canton, CT

When Jessica Ulcickas was taking "Euclidean and Non-Euclidean Geometry," her professor brought in other academics from the field to discuss their research. To find other "really interesting classes," the aspiring high school math teacher attends the once-a-semester block party sponsored by the Math Society and the Math Department. It's an opportunity for students to meet the math professors and learn about upcoming classes. For Ulcickas, it's another reason why majoring in mathematics at Boston College is a "great experience."
