The graduate program in mathematics is providing Gregory Thole with a strong master's-only program as well as opportunities for interaction with professors. He likes the high professor/graduate student ratio (nearly 2:1), and that graduate students have access to and the attention of faculty. But the best part for Thole, who is studying manifolds and Lie groups, is tea time–the daily, informal gathering of graduate students and faculty that provides time for both social and professional contact, along with tea and cookies.
