The M.A. Program in Graduate Arts and Sciences
The Master of Arts (M.A.) degree program is our primary offering. Most students in this program are supported with Teaching Fellowships, which include a generous stipend plus complete tuition remission for both of the years in this two-year program.
The limited size of our program contributes to a closely-knit group of friendly graduate students, whose computer-equipped offices are interspersed amongst the mathematics faculty offices in Carney Hall.
Master's Programs with Other Schools
We participate in three joint graduate programs leading to masters degrees outside Graduate Arts and Sciences, including an M.S.T. degree (Master of Science in Teaching), an M.Ed. degree , and a joint M.A./M.B.A. with the Graduate School of Management.
Students participating in these programs are considered for Teaching Fellowships, although preference is given first to M.A. students, and then to students whose schedules allow their availability for teaching responsibilities comparable to those of M.A. students.
