The Ph.D. Program in Mathematics
The doctoral (Ph.D.) degree program will be our primary offering, with the first class enrolling in Fall 2010. We expect students in this program to be supported with Teaching Fellowships, which include a generous stipend plus complete tuition remission.
The limited size of our program contributes to a closely-knit group of friendly graduate students, whose computer-equipped offices are interspersed amongst the mathematics faculty offices in Carney Hall.
Master's Programs with Other Schools
Traditionally, we have participated in three joint graduate programs leading to masters degrees outside Graduate Arts and Sciences, including an M.S.T. degree (Master of Science in Teaching), an M.Ed. degree , and a joint M.A./M.B.A. with the Graduate School of Management. These offerings are currently under review due to the introduction of the Ph.D. program. If you are interested in these programs, please contact the Assistant Chair for Graduate Programs, Professor Rob Meyerhoff.
