About the Language Lab
The Boston College Language Laboratory serves the language learning and teaching needs of the University's language departments, students of English as a foreign language, and the BC community at large from its center in Lyons Hall, room 313. The facility provides access to installed and portable equipment to be used with audio, video, cable television and multimedia language learning tools.

Catalog
The Boston College Language Laboratory boasts an extensive catalog of resources in more than 17 languages to facilitate language learning and teaching as well as to promote cultural awareness.

For Faculty
The Language Lab supports the course planning and classroom teaching needs of language faculty by encouraging recommendations for new acquisitions, assisting in the preparation of course materials, and providing access to installed and portable instructional technology as well as to multimedia resources for classroom use.

Online Audio Programs

  Several of the Lab's audio programs may be accessed online 24/7 via the Blackboard Vista-authenticated course management system by students officially enrolled in Boston College courses in which these programs have been adopted as curricular material.
