The Higgins Operations and Business Services unit was created to service the occupants of the newly renovated Higgins Hall. HOBS is intended primarily to support the management of the Biology and Physics Departments by combining and streamlining administrative needs and activities common to both departments.
Operations
Operations handles the issues pertaining to the building including emergency and routine work order requests, environmental health and safety concerns, security issues, renovations, and new equipment installations.
Communications Services
The Communications Specialist will work with faculty and staff to create and maintain web sites and print materials. The specialist will serve as a resource for design and editing projects, which will include websites, course descriptions, recruiting, and development materials.
Technology Consultants
Higgins Hall has two Technology Consultants serving the Biology and Physics Departments. They oversee computer related and telephone issues including networking, purchasing software, hardware, and peripheral equipment.
