The Communications Specialist will work with the faculty and staff to create and maintain Web sites and electronic and print materials. The specialist will serve as a resource for design and editing projects, which will include Web sites, course descriptions, recruiting, and development materials.

Communications services include

> Biology, Physics and HOBS Web sites development and management

> Provide support to the faculty on their departmental research web pages creation and maintenance

> Updating the News and Events sections at the Physics and Biology Departments' Web sites

> Support and updates for the Video Wall display in Higgins Atrium:
   – posting of the Biology Department seminars and events
   – prepare and consult on the video wall presentations and shows.

> Maintenance of the Research Bulletin for the Biology Department

> Maintenance of the Physics CD.

The Communications Specialist serves as the liaison with the Office of Marketing Communications and ensures University standards are employed on all media.
