Majors with Special Advisement Needs

About 10% of our majors are in the Lynch School of Education.  Because they do not participate in the A&S advisement program, they are not assigned History Department advisors. When advisement questions come up, they should consult the Undergraduate Programs Assistant, who can answer questions and also tell them which faculty member is currently designated to advise majors who are LSOE students.

Some of our majors are in the University Honors Program. These majors must write a senior thesis as required by the University program. Specific information can be obtained from the Director of the Arts and Sciences Honors Program.

Transfer students need special advisement. They should meet with the Director of Undergraduate Studies, to see how transfer credits will be applied toward their BC major. This meeting also provides a good opportunity for general advisement.
