Research Interests:

My research focuses on the history of American immigration and ethnicity, with an emphasis on the Irish in America. I am particularly concerned with the transatlantic connections of social movements in the United States and the Atlantic world. My dissertation focuses on the Irish Land League in the United States and examines the intersection of class, gender and ethnicity in the formation of Irish American ethnicity identity in the late nineteenth century.
