HS 140 Women in European History

This course examines women's roles in society, the economy, culture, and politics from the French Revolution to the present. Particular emphasis will be placed on women's participation in mass political movements such as suffrage, peace, women's rights, and revolutionary uprisings. European women's history will be considered within a global context. 

Prerequisite: Any two semesters of HS 001 through HS 094
