“Poetries of the Stranger” is an international poetry festival and one of several events to be presented by The Guestbook Project. Created by Professor Richard Kearney, The Guestbook Project will investigate how the arts, religion and technology treat the theme of hospitality to the stranger in a BC graduate seminar; art concerts and festivals; as well as two philosophy panel conferences. As one of several spring 2009 events, “Poetries of the Stranger” celebrates the poetries and poets who have exemplified a strange poetics of voice, image and place.
