Leone, associate professor of art history, was recently published by Harvey Miller Publishers. In this first-ever comprehensive book on the architecture of the Palazzo Pamphilj, Leone reconstructs the history of this monument through extensive archival research and an examination of the building fabric, challenges prevailing notions of the patronage of Innocent X Pamphilj and his family, and identifies the construction of this palace as the catalyst for the renovation of Piazza Navona.
