The English Department has primary responsibility for the following two Core requirements--
- EN 010 First Year Writing Seminar, taught entirely by English Department faculty
- EN 080-084 Literature Core, taught largely by English Department faculty.
Students may not take courses through the College of Advancing Studies for the purpose of fulfilling their English Core requirement.
