Junior Year

Fall Semester: Notice of eligibility sent (notification sent prior to enrollment for fall semester courses) to students with 3.75 GPA or higher. Students must earn a grade of A- or better, and retain their overall GPA of 3.75 or higher, to remain in the program. Since a student's thesis advisor must be chosen from the instructors of the two honors seminars a student takes, students should think ahead about the probable topic area and desired thesis advisor for their projects.

Spring Semester: Students who have taken one honors seminar during the fall semester and have retained their honors eligibility should enroll in a second honors-designated writing intensive seminar. Students with special circumstances, such as tho se studying abroad, may wait until senior fall to take the second seminar.
