Eligibility for Honors Program

For the Classes of 2018 and beyond

To be accepted into the Communication Honors Program, students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.70 or higher upon being invited to the program.

In order to graduate with Communication Honors, a student must satisfactorily complete COMM 3335 - Communication Methods (Honors), COMM 4475 - Introduction to Honors, and COMM 4961 - Honors Thesis according to the standards of the Communication department and the student's thesis advisor.

For the Classes of 2017 and prior

To be accepted into the Communication Honors Program, students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher upon being invited to the program.

In order to graduate with Communication Honors, a student must maintain a cumulative 3.75 or higher GPA and satisfactorily complete the Honors thesis according to the standards of the Communication department and the student's thesis advisor. Honors students will receive a total of nine credit hours for their participation in, and completion of, the program. Six of these hours will be earned in the Honors seminars and three will be earned through the writing of the Honors thesis.
