Excellence Awards

communication department

The Communication department began presenting student writing awards in 1998. Over time, the writing awards have been expanded to include other forms of scholarship.

The department issues a call for submissions each April and students are allowed to submit work in four different categories: academic writing, writing for the print media, production projects, and design projects. A committee of faculty members reviews the work and determines how many students will be recognized in any given year.

The winners of the Communication Excellence Awards are recognized at the Communication Honors ceremony held during spring semester. Past winners include:
