The Friend of the Department Award recognizes an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the Communication Department. There are no formal criteria, but past recipients have supported special projects, organized speakers and events, or contributed their time and talents.
The Friend of the Department Award is presented at the Communication Honors Dinner traditionally held on the first Sunday in May.
