Research lies at the heart of the Biology experience at Boston College. Our department, in Higgins Hall, is well-equipped for modern molecular, genomics and proteomic research, biochemistry, imaging and bioinformatics. Research programs in our laboratories investigate fundamental problems in the following topic areas.
- Cell and Developmental Biology – Anthony Annunziato, David Burgess, Hugh Cam, Eric Folker, Dan Kirschner, Laura Anne Lowery, Thomas Seyfried, Ken Williams
- Microbiology and Infection – Thomas Chiles, MJ Gubbels, Charles Hoffman, Welkin Johnson, Junona Moroianu, Ken Williams, Tim van Opijnen
