2nd Annual Graduate Integrated Science Symposium
bc science graduate students gathered together for prospective interdisciplinary collaborative projects
The Second Annual Graduate Integrated Sciences Poster Session gathered together about 30 graduate students in the Biology, Physics, and Chemistry Departments in Higgins Hall Atrium on April 23, 2010.
The goal of this event is that the graduate students from the science departments can be informed about research in the other science disciplines and have the opportunity for collaboration during their graduate studies.
It is a great opportunity of gaining practice in communicating science to a broader audience and in meeting and talking to the scientists that approach research within a different discipline.
The young researchers learn that there are many techniques, methods or scientific questions that are common to research in the different departments and hope that some collaborative projects may be founded here.
