The Ford Foundation Diversity Fellowships seek to increase the diversity of the nation's college and university faculties by
increasing their ethnic and racial
diversity, to maximize the
educational benefits of diversity, and to increase the number of professors who can and will use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students.
To facilitate this goal the Fellowship grants awards at the Predoctoral,
Dissertation and,
Postdoctoral levels to students whom demonstrate excellence, a commitment to diversity and, a desire to enter the
professoriate.
United Negro College Fund, the nation's largest, oldest, most successful and most comprehensive minority higher education assistance organization, offers scholarships
and fellowships.

Fellowship Program for minorities and women in the fields of science, math, engineering and
technology.
The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation offers scholarships for outstanding high school seniors who are entering two- and
four-year college programs.
The Gates Millennium Scholars offers funding to undergraduates in all discipline areas and graduate students pursuing
studies in mathematics,
science, engineering,
education, or library science.
Xerox has established the Technical Minority Scholarship
Program to assist in the funding
of higher education for
American minority students.
The NCAA sponsors Ethnic Minority and Women's Enhancement Postgraduate Scholarships
for
careers in Athletics
The National Association of Black Journalists offers the NABJ scholarship which is awarded annually to two black
undergraduate students enrolled
in a 4-year college pursuing a major in journalism.
The Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund provides scholarships on a per-semester basis to undergraduate students.
Scholarships offered by Microsoft are available for Underrepresented Minorities, Women, Student's With Disabilities, and also
through a General category.
The American Political Science Association offers the Minority Fellows Program for graduate students from minority backgrounds majoring in
political science. Additionally,
they offer the William Randolph Hearst Endowed Scholarship for Minority Students for minority
undergraduate or graduate students, which includes a summer internship.
Inroads, an organization which supports talented minority youth in business and industry and helps to prepare them for corporate and community leadership, offers paid Inroads Internships
at Fortune 1000 companies.
